From 1987 to 1989 she was working in the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine as an economist and senior economist. Since 1998 he has been working at T. Shevchenko Kyiv National University as a professor.

In the period from 1993 to 2003 - researcher and senior researcher at the Institute of Economics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

Since 2007 she has been the head of the department of the Institute of Demography and Social Research of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, where she studies the problems of births, health and mortality, labor potential and socio-economic structure of the population.

He has more than 140 published works on population statistics, demography, social policy. In 1987 she graduated from the Kyiv National Economic University named after Vadym Hetman at the Faculty of Accounting and Economics. He has a doctorate in economics, majoring in Demography, Labor Economics, Social Economics and Politics.
